Microneedling is a method of triggering the repair response of skin. Reduce fine lines and create more lift naturally!
We all want a youthful complexion, with smooth, line-free skin, firm jawline and glowing skin tone.
Microneedling can help. The tiny needles of the microneedling roller stimulate collagen and elastin production, creating firmer facial skin while minimizing fine lines. Best of all, the procedure is completely natural with no side effects!
WHAT IS MICRONEEDLING?
The needles on a microneedling device puncture the skin in a controlled manner. Each puncture of the needle creates a microscopic channel, or empty space.
The skin recognizes this channel as tissue loss and begins to produce collagen and elastin to “fill” the channel.
Collagen is the main protein in the skin responsible for sustaining skin integrity, firmness, and elasticity. The result is an improvement in skin texture and firmness, as well as a reduction in scars, pore size, and stretch marks. Typically, skincare professionals combine microneedling with effective topical serums to complement and enhance the microneedling treatment.
WHO IS A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR MICRONEEDLING?
Microneedling treatments may be very beneficial for those looking to diminish the common signs of aging, such as fine lines and wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, and uneven skin, and to promote smoother skin. Microneedling is also effective as an acne scar treatment, to reduce stretch marks, regenerate alopecic hair thinning, tighten loose skin and for the treatment of cellulite.
Because the epidermis remains intact, the procedure is suited to regions where laser treatments and deep chemical peels are not typically performed, such as around the eyes and mouth, and chest. This makes microneedling a preferred treatment for nearly everyone. At our Essential Balance clinic, we are experienced to perform medical grade microneedling in Vaughan at 0.5mm on the face and 1.5mm-3 mm on the body.
What is it?
A dermal mechanical microneedling pen, which punctures a specific area using a stamping action. This device is lauded for its precision.
Is it painful?
Yes, a numbing cream is applied beforehand.
Is there any downtime?
Yes, immediately after treatment, your skin may experience redness and minor swelling. These effects generally subside within a day but can take up to one week to fully resolve. As your skin is more sensitive following a procedure, it is highly recommended to avoid sun exposure, wearing makeup and vigorous exercise for 24-48 hours following the treatment.
